I’m grateful for the opportunity to read this book! In The Middle Of Nowhere is a fascinating read, both educational and inspirational. I bought it after hearing about it from my cousin, who attends college with the Author’s nephew.
Terry Underwood shares generously about her life, her loves and her learning as she adapted to her married life literally, in the middle of nowhere, after meeting her husband as a patient in the hospital where she worked in Sydney.
This isn’t a book review – it’s my gratitude journal for today… I’m grateful to be reminded of my farm background, our pet animals, droughts and downpours and the fun we had, whatever the weather. I can’t imagine ever being so remote, for such a long time, but it makes me want to spend more time in the great outdoors – and to take my son to spend more time playing and working at my parents farm.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn and reflect, and move forward with more understanding of the world around me, and the people who make up this great country.
Love Kerrie
