I’m so excited to share that my gratitude today is for my friend Elena’s visit! She’s driving through from Melbourne to Brisbane and we haven’t been in the same city for more than 2 years, so it’s wonderful to be spending some time together. This furry friend was so happy to pose for photos, which made Elena’s day. Her excitement and absolute thrill at this encounter lifted my perspective of the humble wombat. I have seen it before and appreciate it, but did find it particularly endearing today – I think due to Elena’s influence.
We’re off to experience the local Thai Restaurant and catch up on more news, then home to edit chapters of the book together. I love friends like Elena, with whom reconnecting after not seeing each other for years is easy, fun and really special. I’m grateful for Elena, and our dear friend Ray Andrews who connected us, and all of my friends who live in various places around the world. I know that when we see each other we “just pick up where we left off”.
