I’m Grateful for a special letter in the post box today. I wondered which friend it was from when I saw the hand written envelope with the words Author, Speaker, Coach included in the address. Imagine my surprise when I opened it to discover a letter from Mr Dick Smith! He was writing in response to an email I had sent to his PA about my upcoming book. I love real mail… especially when it’s thoughtfully put together, and opens a door for more conversations.
Dick Smith is such an inspiring individual and has had an incredibly positive, and enormous impact on Australia, and I’m delighted to connect with him. Mum and Dad joined us for lunch, and were so excited about the letter – Dad met him at Innamincka years ago as they’d flown in (from different directions) for an event there, where Dad parachuted in with his Australian Flag Parachute. Dick Smith and Dad are two very patriotic Aussies.
Also, I’ve discovered that no matter how busy people are, they can write a good letter if they want to.
