I’m grateful for a safe and enjoyable trip from Sydney to Sawtell (near Coffs Harbour) today. We began at 6am and discovered how much traffic is on the M5 to the airport and city even as the sun is just coming up!
The drive up the coast was beautiful, and we enjoyed a stop at Port Macquarie to catch up with our friend/colleague Peter Coe at a fabulous waterfront cafe. Peter joins the Coaches Connect calls I run each month for Results Coaches and shares my delight in discovering great businesses in regional areas. He told me about some of the people he’s been meeting recently who have remarkable businesses tucked away in surprising places. Peter is building a great coaching practice in the region and supports business owners and leaders to excel, just as I do – so we always have lots to share!
I also received an endorsement for the book from another regional bestselling author which is just beautiful and will be in print soon…
Today, I’m also grateful for the fabulous apartment we have for a week, where I shall complete the book. I was delighted to walk in a find a great desk and office chair, plus all the other wonderful furniture to make use of as I sit and reflect, write and edit the final pieces – and an amazing beach, in fact my favourite beach in the world, to walk along and breathe in the beauty of nature. I just have to imagine this particular beach to relax and put a smile on my face, but to be here is even better!
