Firstly, I’m grateful for my first swim in the ocean in ages! …April, I guess that’s not too long ago really…
It was pretty chilly, but enormously refreshing – in more than just a cold water kind of way. There’s something liberating about the ocean, the breadth, the depth, the movement… I’m a little lost for words at present (yes me… it does happen sometimes!)
Another thing I’m grateful for was our dinner tonight with brand new friends. I met Suzanne very briefly yesterday, then today I met her with her husband, and invited them to join us for dinner. Mostly because I have been working on the book all week and ready for some company, and because we’re staying in this fabulous apartment that says “invite people over! …Have a party!”
Oh I love spontaneous ideas that turn into memorable events… Another lovely lady came too, who I hadn’t met, but within 5 minutes of conversation we discovered that she lived in Gilgandra for a time and knew my parents.
That was cool, and the other cool thing, is that Suzanne has written a book and it’s basically ready to go to print, but she’s parked it… until tonight! I can’t wait to see her book, she can’t wait to see mine… I’m grateful for the conversations over a fabulous Indian dinner and the way that you connect with people at the right time.
Grateful,
Love Kerrie
PS. And we were so “in the moment” and totally enjoying the conversations and no-one thought to pick up the camera, so while I can add a pic of the beach, I haven’t got a photo of my new friends!
