Facebook fascinates me. Have you ever imagined what it would be like to work there? Wondered who works there? Such clever, creative people. And who manages those people? I was honoured to meet Director of Learning, Stuart Crabb, who brought many years of high level HR experience to Facebook nearly 4 years ago. Stuart shared a few thoughts with us after speaking at the NeuroLeadership Summit last year. He discusses getting the best people and giving them space to be creative and successful, and finding them beyond the places you’d typically look. His comments are so relevant to any kind of business, including “Creativity and innovation are the lifeblood of our organization” and “like Steve Jobs, he (Mark) thinks about it from the user perspective, all the time.”
Enjoy this chat, and take a few notes on Stuarts comments. How would this relate to your business and creative endeavours?

For me, Apple and Facebook go hand in hand (literally) and through their visionary founders, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, they’ve added greatly to my world. I learn from their approach to innovation, creativity and simplicity, and I learn from observing people, including myself, respond to such cleverness and connectedness.
While Mark Zuckerberg is the most famous young entrepreneur, we have, a little closer to home, some absolute champions whose stories will inspire you. We’re celebrating Young Achievers across Australia over the next year on Lifting The Lid and I can’t wait to introduce you to them all!
Have an inspired day!
Cheering you on,
Kerrie
