I’ve never struggled so much with a December blog as I have in the past 2 weeks. My world has vastly expanded since publishing DO Talk To Strangers, and traveling, speaking in a multitude of countries, hearing and reading the stories of people I’ve connected with from Brunei to Russia.
While many things are different, such as the holidays we celebrate, many things remain the same the world over. And this is where I want to focus. We’re all human. We all bleed, ache and strive. We all need food, water, air to breathe and connection with others.
2017 has been an extraordinary year, filled with many highs and lows, challenges and wins and opportunities to make a bigger difference.
Ethan created a short video with a few of my 6000+ photos, capturing some of the years moments and some of the people I spent time with.

I want to say thank you to every person I’ve had the opportunity to work with in 2017, from personal leadership clients to organisations including HR Summit Singapore, Estee Lauder (MAC Cosmetics), Dubbo Christian School, GRD Institute of Management, India, PJ Lhuillier Group, Philippines, B1G1 and many more.
I’ve delivered Connecting With Confidence for managers in various contexts such as sales, leadership and entrepreneurship. I’ve coached leaders to do their best thinking, accomplish great things in their careers, increase their confidence and positive influence and strengthen their relationships. I’ve continued learning about the brain and how we connect with others from the Neuroleadership Institute and Brene Brown and many inpsiring, insightful colleagues.
Then there were all the podcasts and interviews – many thanks to all who reached out to me to discuss ‘DO Talk To Strangers’. I’ll link a few here –

While I’ll be offline for Christmas holidays with my family, I’ll also be taking time out to reflect on the year that’s been, the goals accomplished, those in progress and lessons learned. This leads me to ‘what’s next’ and planning for 2018 and beyond. I’ll share more in January, but for now, a few questions to support you in your own reflecting. (I also shared these on Instagram and facebook, so add your comments there if you like!
If you’re taking time off in December/January, I hope you have a wonderful time. We will be offline from 23 December until 3 January to enjoy time with family (and books and scenery) and look forward to connecting and cheering you on in the New Year.
Love and Gratitude,
Kerrie
