Today’s focus on Great Customer Service highlights a few champions – from feedback others have sent me, which is really cool. This email came from a friend Kathy, on facebook – who tells me thought of me when she was served by a “brilliant young man at Woolworths at Riverdale the other day. Have been thru his check out a few times and he is always polite, engaged, makes and effort and efficient! Wow! Greg was even impressed the other day, and he is hard to impress!”
I’m especially delighted by Kathy’s feedback because it’s specific. I have noticed that when you acknowledge someone for a job well done, the praise is more accepted when you actually explain what it is that they’ve done, or do so well. It takes the compliment from ‘that’s nice’ to that’s really helpful feedback.
So well done to the young Woolies champion, who I hope to meet soon, and to Kathy, for her generous and specific feedback!
