Tonight we held my 9th Conversations With Entrepreneurs event – in my hometown of Dubbo for the first time. What an inspiring group of people gathered together! I’ve just skimmed through the feedback forms and they were all similar – they read like this –
What did you find most useful/valuable from this event? “People’s stories and what inspired them.”
“A great reminder to slow down and enjoy others stories and wisdom.”
“Meeting new people and hearing peoples stories inspired me to believe anything’s possible”
What worked well? “Conversations with different business owners.”
“The design of the event, so everyone interacts with each other.”
“Relaxed atmosphere, and of course the energy!”
What would you like to see more of/less of? “More nights like this – very inspirational.”
“More inspiring stories, can’t get enough!”
Special thanks to Melanie Pollock from NAB Business Banking, for asking me to do this event for her clients and Ellie Job from Short Street Store, where we hosted the event. The food was amazing – well done team!
I love the opportunity to connect like-minded people to encourage and inspire each other, and it was great to see the buzz in the room as I facilitated lots of new connections and interviewed as many people as I could, to share the behind the scenes of their businesses – the thinking that motivates and inspires them. It’s so exciting to see so many people who really love what they do. It saddens me to think of many more people who aren’t loving their life and business or work. It just takes a bit of purposeful thinking and reflecting, and making a few brave choices, that once made, don’t seem scary at all.
It’s so cool to have Michael and Jane Pelusey from WA visiting, as they drive from Melbourne up to Brisbane. I loved their input into tonight as they certainly know about living their passion – and they’re now writing a series of books on the subject! Not only will this be a very special book series, it’s extra exciting as they’re interviewing a number of my friends who I’ve connected them with in their travels, so you’ll be hearing more about Live Your Passion.
In fact I’m taking them to meet a very inspiring local artist in the morning, so I must get some sleep… so much excitement!
Cheering you on,
Kerrie
