I’m so grateful, so delighted to live the life that I do and to connect with the people I connect with, and to have conversations that matter.
People matter. I’m so passionate about people. Connecting with people, really connecting – having conversations that cheer people on.
I started our Young Achievers Giveaway in order to cheer on young people – who sometimes have so much against them, yet so many possibilities and opportunities. Which can actually become quite confusing.
How does a young person choose their direction in life? The possibilities are endless and it’s totally normal to change careers a few times as you journey on, learning more about yourself and your giftings.
What I love about the Young Achievers whose stories we’re sharing on liftingthelid.com is that these are young people who are living passionately and purposefully, using their giftings and doing what they love, what they feel called or inspired to do.
Success is different for every individual, as is motivation and giftings. It’s oh-so-important to clarify and keep clarifying what matters most to you.
Keep reading stories of people who are pursuing their passion, talk to people, have conversations that matter. Conversations that encourage and inspire you and those fortunate enough to converse with you.
While I’m really excited about our Young Achievers and our latest, one I’ve worked with and learned MUCH from over the past six years, I’m also learning from those who’ve gone before, many years before.
You may have seen my Kokoda blogs – one of my newest dearest friends who I got to know there, is coming to visit us in Dubbo for more Conversations that matter. I’m taking Bede Tongs MM to a couple of local schools, out to Gilgandra to see the Coo-ee Heritage Centre and meet a few locals, and at Dubbo RSL I’ll be introducing him at a Conversations event – this time it’s Conversations with a True Aussie (Kokoda) Hero. – REGISTER HERE
One of my favourite “Bede quotes” is “A positive attitude is essential for survival”. Bede proved that in Kokoda 70 years ago and many times since. I’m honoured to learn from him and share his wisdom with those around me.
If you’re in the neighbourhood – please register and join us on Wed 3 April for a unique and unforgettable event with walking history, a National Treasure and beautiful soul. – REGISTER HERE
