What’s the best moment to say hi?
Do you talk to strangers when you’re on the move?
Traveling is one of the best things that you can do to grow your confidence, to grow your world view and, connect with people around you. But it can be terrifying, intimidating, or a little uncomfortable. So here’s a few thoughts for the frequent – or fearful – traveller. (Video filmed in 2017 in a cute little street in Singapore – Bussorah St.)
On my current trip to Asia, I flew from Dubbo to Sydney first, and was a little surprised when the passenger beside me introduced himself as a neighbour from 20 years ago, when he was a teenager and I had a tiny baby 😂
Then on the Sydney to Melbourne flight, I had an awesome conversation with the woman sitting near me (we had an empty seat between us), who asked for a copy my book and started reading it, and throughout the flight we discovered more in common than we imagined! I’m sure we’ll do some inspiring work together next year!
I’d love to hear your travelling, connecting stories! Come over to the Do Talk To Strangers group on Facebook and share!
Cheering you on,
Love Kerrie
