It’s highly likely that you make a greater contribution to the world around you than you realise.
This is a concept I shared in DO Talk To Strangers (my latest book) and I’d like to thank you for being part of my community, being part of every community you connect with. It’s your smiles, your encouragement, and acts of kindness and generosity.
Here’s one of the final pages in the book –
THE IMPACT OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION
It’s highly likely that you make a greater contribution to the world around you than you realise.
To raise awareness of how we can make a bigger difference in the world, it’s important to be aware of how you naturally contribute already. We’re aware of so much hurt and pain in our world and can be overwhelmed by it, so we must remember that each individual makes a difference and it matters that you add your voice, your talents and gifts to contribute to others.
Even by purchasing this book, or receiving it as a gift, more gifts have been given. For every book purchased, life-giving water has been provided to families in developing nations. Every time I connect with an audience to inspire more connections and ideas, students and entrepreneurs receive quality mentoring and education.
We do this through B1G1 and Kokoda Track Foundation plus several other trusted organisations. We don’t wait until we have a lot to give; we give a specific percentage of whatever funds land in our account. My son and I discovered first hand in Cambodia how one dollar can make a difference, and when there are many people contributing in the ways they do best, significant change occurs.
ACTION: Consider how you contribute to the world around you, with your smiles, your encouragement, your funds and your time. You make a difference, keep up the great work!
Cheering you on,
Kerrie
