A Stunning, Significant Shift – from Chaos to Clarity and Confidence. (client results in a nutshell)
I have been reflecting on 2013 – it’s been an extraordinary year in so many ways.
I was reminded of one insight that I shared in January about an assumption of mine that was challenged – that has resulted in some really specific wins – including two marriages on the brink of ending, now better than ever – and another “big quit” that was averted – turning a life from suicidal driving to healthy thinking. I know it sounds dramatic, but it’s true. All because some people who’d describe themselves as ‘ordinary people’ (in business and leadership) took some extraordinary action – they asked me for coaching, they were honest with me and especially with themselves, and they’re now reaping the rewards of their self honesty and determination to create a better life. To quote a recent client “Awareness is half the battle won – once I realised how I was thinking I learned I could change it”
So the worst of habits and negative, defeated thinking have been overcome, quit or better managed – and the marriages and businesses weren’t quit as intended. While for some of these people their workload hasn’t changed much, there’s a greater ease, and their mental strength and accomplishments have amazed them. I love it when my clients literally amaze themselves, and celebrate how they’ve changed their own brain. It’s a gift they’ve given themselves.
Just when I was thinking that maybe I’d minimise or eliminate one-on-one coaching and just work with teams and conferences, a client sat me down to tell me the impact of our sessions that pulled her out of dwelling on and attempting a car “accident” and into building healthy thinking and dreaming again, and paused before saying “so don’t ever stop coaching”… a timely reminder to stay on purpose and stick with what has the most significant impact. I know that people don’t have these conversations with just anyone. It’s hard to find a safe person in the world, to be totally safe to dream with, to be raw and honest with, to share the struggles and the wins… and while not everyone will find me to be that person, I’m committed to being that person for those who need me to be. (If you’re one of these people, you’ll love the retreats and celebrating sessions I was inspired to offer – see below)
While I’ll be taking time out in January to reflect on what all of this (and other learning from 2013) means – I still have a sense that next year I’ll be coaching fewer people, with higher quality conversations. There’s no time to waste. We don’t know how many days anyone has. My Grandma had close to 99 years, but we’ve recently lost some precious young people in our region. Let’s not waste any time, but tap into the extraordinary potential that’s within. Yes – within YOU.
“We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Maryanne Williamson,
I’m taking our son to Cambodia for a significant shift in his world-view and to see some of the impact of our business. With every coaching session this year, we’ve funded teachers wages in Cambodia – I’m grateful that we’ll be able to meet some of these Difference-Makers and help them build a playground for 400 children :)
In the meantime, I have a few sessions available for life-changing reflections and visioning. Contact me if you want my two-sessions for one deal. It’s Christmas. Let’s Celebrate and bring Joy to the world. You can do it so much more than you even realise.
Cheering you on,
Love, Kerrie
PS. And for quick decision-makers – I have two rooms left for an amazing coaching retreat to celebrate, reflect, rest and refocus in a stunning 4 star regional location on Sun 29 – Mon 30 Dec. Let me know ASAP if you’re interested (or to enquire about other possible dates).
PPS. Don’t forget to take some time out for YOU – reflect and celebrate your year, please don’t slam the door on 2013 and say “Thank God that year is over” – dig the gold out first and take that into 2014 to make next years journey easier and more strategic!
And finally – be Kind to yourself and others :)
